The Opportunity: This really interesting project is that 20,500 sqm (more than 2 hectares) of land has been secured, plans designed for a four star hotel, awaiting an investor to finalise planning and ready to open in 18 months.
In the project leader’s words: The Mountain Design Hotel & Sports Resort will be unique, architecturally interesting, self-sufficient and comfortable destination in the continental mountainous of Croatia for relaxation and wellness, sports, extreme sports and active holidays, air treatment, conferences, events and team building during the summer and winter with superb authentic gourmet experience and untouched nature.
The present land plot is designated for tourist purpose (T and R) is owned and located in the
zone of the future nature park Lička Plješivica, at about 1,200 m above sea level. The hotel will be open 365 days a year, will employ about 35 workers, and indirectly approximately another 30 family farms in the business of producing and partial supply of hotel with healthy, domestic food.
The Resort (GDA: 10.647m2) will consist of an indoor pool with wellness to through holistic programs, individual approach and modern equipment the unity of mind and body, excellent gym, a restaurant, an ‘indoor square’ for socialising and entertainment, halls for conferences and events for up to 150 pax, and a small, charming (eco-ethno) park.
In addition to the accommodation offer in 12 indigenous Lika houses – designer luxury villas
with 24 modern equipped suites, with total capacity of 48+48 beds, the resort will include and
accommodation in design four-star hotel with a capacity of 166 beds in 82 modern double and two single rooms. Overall, 108 units, 214+48 beds (with extra beds at total max. 262 guests).
Additionally, as part of the facility is scheduled the project to build solar power plant of 35 KW
and solar water heating for the resort. The team that has been working together with a team of architects on the design of the project, is formed of professionals with 25 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry.
The resort will offer mountaineering, hiking, walking, Spring and Summer in the mountains, photo-safari (plants and animals), meditative breaks, bird-watching, horse-riding, with plenty of excursions nearby.
Program for extreme sports fans include: paragliding, hang gliding, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, snow-kiting, with an Adrenaline Park for climbing, speleo-tourism, mountain bike-tours and in winter rides by snowmobiles.
Program for Athletes: archery, altitude training – Ozeblin 1.657m, gym, fitness,
wellness and Spa as well as hunting (four hunting grounds in the immediate vicinity), fishing (fly-fishing on the river Gacka and Una and a shooting range. SV
