Buyer: The four-star Georgian townhouse hotel has been sold to Axcel Hospitality, who look to grow their footprint in ‘key markets’ in the UK. The listed, four-storey house, which was built in the 1780s, comprises 21 bedrooms, a lounge bar and two dining rooms.

The city’s fundamentals as both a tourist hotspot and student city means there is a strong demand for rooms and with a tight development pipeline, this shows no sign of abating.”
Henrietta House hotel a Member of Radisson Individuals, situated in Bath city centre, has undergone extensive refurbishment to a boutique 4-star hotel in the Historic town of Bath. The hotel features two separate buildings with a distinct atmosphere. Newly refurbished rooms with air conditioning characterise the boutique wing at No.27 Henrietta Street, and there is a trendy bar on the ground floor with a restaurant.
No.27 was formerly known as the Redcar Hotel which were three Georgian town houses first converted into a hotel in 1949 and was once owned by the famous entertainers Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck.
At No.33 Henrietta Street, the traditional wing features larger rooms with the option of twin beds, a selection of rooms with bathtubs, and an accessible room. All of our rooms have a classic style and give a homely feeling for a comfortable stay.

This hotel marks the launch by Radisson Hotel Group of their new conversion brand aimed at encouraging independent hotels and local, regional chains to join the group’s platform.

The next UK hotel will be the River House Hotel in Inverness when it opens in 2021.
