Owner/Developer: Splendid Hospitality Group, headed up by Stuart Bailey, CEO and Shiraz Boghani, owner. The building contract has been awarded to TW Construct and the interior design project is being led by Axiom Architects.

Splendid Hospitality Group signed a franchise agreement in Reading with easyHotel, the owner, developer, operator and franchisor of “super budget” branded hotels, in November 2016.

THPT Comment: a departure in style for Splendid, currently with top-end hotels such as the Hilton London Bankside, The five-star Grand Hotel, York, Hotel Indigo York and Edinburgh, although they do have five Holiday Inn Express, an Ibis and a Comfort Inn, but this takes them into the super-budget sector.
