The complex, which houses the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Agoi and Mercure Agoi Resort, will occupy a new beachfront building and feature 280 rooms and 315 branded residences. The property is expected to open by 2025.
“Just recently, we announced the signing of the new Mövenpick and Swissôtel hotels in Anapa, and we are now proud to announce a new dual branded hotel on the Black Sea coast. Known as the gateway to the subtropics of Russia, the village Agoi is located in a beautiful area boasting pine forests, high mountains, waterfalls and the sea, making it the perfect place for a quiet and truly relaxing vacation. I am confident the introduction of world-class hotels in Agoi will entice Russian and foreign travelers to the resort. Accor has always been actively involved in the development of hotel and tourist infrastructure of the Black Sea coast, and we believe that this project will allow Russian tourists to explore the new and interesting destination in the south of Russia” – said Alexis Delaroff, COO of Accor Russia, Georgia, Ukraine and the CIS.
Agoi is a resort village located at the mouth of the river at the southern foot of the main Caucasus mountain range, just 6 km from Tuapse. In the Adyghe language, the name “Agoi” means “middle river”. The village is immersed in greenery and well-known for its excellent climate, pebble beaches, remote and peaceful location, clean mountain rivers and picturesque landscapes. Agoi is located a few hours’ drive from the airports of Gelendzhik, Krasnodar and Sochi, and accessible by car or by train, with the nearest railway station just a few minutes’ drive from the new complex.
The dual branded hotel will include several swimming pools, fitness centers, bars and restaurants, as well as conference rooms for corporate and private events, and a medical center.
“For our company, this is the important investment project, the beginning of an interesting journey and consolidation of experience. This project is set to elevate the Tuapse region’s tourism infrastructure. The introduction of new job opportunities, gourmet restaurants, new services will also benefit the local community in the Agoi village. The partnership with Accor ensures we will be able to implement bold ideas and exclusive engineering solutions, while the support of the government institutions of Tuapse district and Krasnodar Territory in general gives confidence in the future of the complex,” said Nikolay Lobachev, General Director of Metriks Development, the project developer and construction leader in the Krasnodar Territory.
The exclusive Mövenpick Resort & Spa Agoi will offer accommodation in 120 rooms ranging from standard double rooms to luxury suites, decorated in the signature style of the elegant and luxurious Mövenpick brand. The spa will offer guests a wide range of treatments, including individually designed programs for body revitalization and relaxation. Mövenpick remains true to its Swiss heritage and rich culinary legacy, being a place where guests can appreciate life’s little pleasures through moments of true indulgence. A revolutionary dining concept is the defining feature of the brand, the famous “Chocolate Hour” takes place daily in the lobby of each Mövenpick hotel, where the guests can enjoy exquisite chocolate treats and homemade sweets, while the restaurant menu features traditional Swiss dishes.
At Mercure Agoi Resort, guests will choose from 160 comfortable rooms and 315 branded residences, all designed in a style that reflects the distinct character and culture of its location according to Mercure brand philosophy. The brand’s unwavering commitment to quality ensures a consistent and reliable standard of service at every Mercure around the world.
