Radisson Hotel Group Agrees Two New Hotels in USA

Developer: NY – Sam Chang of McSam Hotel Group, who have a number of hotels in NY.
Most of McSam’s hotels are in Midtown, and a many of them are targeted towards the budget traveler. McSam uses architects Gene Kaufman and Michael Kang for many of its projects, such as 344 West 36th Street.
Ken Greene, Radisson Hotel Group president, Americas, said, “I think it’s huge in terms of our opportunity to reposition and refresh the Radisson brand. It starts with improving the quality of the system, but it takes a billboard property like a Times Square property to represent that mission.”
The Radisson Blu Anaheim will be located a half-mile from Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
A new-build hotel by developer Walter Bowen of BPM Real Estate Group of Portland, Oregon, is expected to be open by Summer 2020 with 326 guestrooms. It will be the tallest hotel in Anaheim at 12 stories.
Cost likely to be in the region of US$168m

BPM are largely commercial/office developers, based in Portland, Oregon, as well as Senior Living (6 sites in Western US) and started in 1977.
The announcement was made at Radisson’s Americas Business Conference in Orlando, Florida.
