US group Standard Hotels has signed a management agreement with developer Ballymore for a Dublin hotel at Dublin Arch, slated to open in 2025.
The Dublin hotel will offer 200 rooms at Dublin Arch (formerly Connolly Quarter) – a mixed-use business and residential development led by Ballymore. When complete it will offer homes, restaurants, community clubs, studios, office space, and The Standard hotel.
The chain is known for its unique design and central city locations and often, the celebrity clientele that frequent the hotels. The group has hotels in a number of cities including one near the High Line in New York city, where Madonna filmed a music video, London and Miami, with openings in Ibiza, Lisbon, Brussels and Milan planned for the year ahead. In the coming months Standard Hotels will be opening its first properties in Thailand, The Standard, Bangkok and The Standard, Hua Hin.
CBRE advised Ballymore on signing the agreement with The Standard. Dave Murray, director of Ireland hotels at CBRE, said: “This is an ideal partnership between a best-in-class developer and one of the most stylish hotel brands worldwide. Situated in a prime location with a superb food and beverage offering, this hotel opening will create something very special for the city of Dublin.”

The commercial element of the complex will cover 42,670 square metres and will include two office blocks along with the hotel. Heights will range from nine to 13 storeys.
Ballymore’s plans are for a 80,000 square metre devleopment overall, including homes, the offices and hotel, restaurants, bars, shops and other amenities.
